Dr. Akopyan completed his medical degree at the American University of the Caribbean, School of Medicine in 2003. Doctor successfully completed his Family Practice residency program at the Summa Health System – Barberton Hospital located in Barberton, Ohio. He has been practicing as a Family Practice Physician for 11 years since 2008. He has worked at an FQHC setting for more than 7 years and provided excellent care to a culturally diverse patient population. Throughout the years of his practice, he has developed increased compassion, dedication, and “no job is too big or too small attitude.” Dr. Akopyan is current member of AMA, AAFP, and Golden Key National Honor Society.

Dr. Akopyan fluently speaks English, Armenian and currently developing his language skills in Spanish.
